Curly Brackets

Parentheses

Double Parentheses

(( var = 78 ))            Integer arithmetic   
var=$(( 20 + 5 ))         Integer arithmetic, with variable assignment

(( var-- ))               C-style variable decrement   
(( var0 = var1<98?9:21 )) C-style trinary operation
